About Oskar Systems

An ERP consultancy that also understands the ledger

We are an independent UK consultancy working on SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and the finance function that depends on them. We are based in Stockport and work with clients across the United Kingdom.

Why we exist

Most ERP projects come apart at the finance end

Not during the implementation. Afterwards — at the first month-end close, when the reports do not reconcile and somebody quietly opens a spreadsheet.

The pattern is consistent. An ERP partner configures the system competently and moves on. An accountancy firm produces the management accounts from whatever the system gives them. Both do their job properly. Neither is responsible for the gap between the two, and that gap is where the manual work accumulates: the reconciliation only one person understands, the report rebuilt by hand every month, the journal posted to correct something upstream.

Oskar Systems exists to work both sides of it. The people who configure a finance module here also understand what the close has to produce, because they have had to produce one. That is an unusual combination and it is the reason most of our work lands.

In practice that means we are equally comfortable designing a chart of accounts, writing a Service Layer integration, and explaining to a board why the stock valuation and the ledger disagree.

What we actually do

  • SAP Business One implementation and support
  • SDK, Service Layer and add-on development
  • Integration between ERP and the systems around it
  • Reporting on SQL Server and SAP HANA
  • Microsoft Business Central consultancy
  • Bookkeeping and management reporting

How we work

Six things you can hold us to

These are not values on a wall. Each one is a commitment you can check against what actually happens on a project.

We say when the answer is not us

Some enquiries should end with a recommendation to stay where you are, fix a process rather than buy software, or talk to a larger firm. Saying so costs us a project occasionally and saves us a bad one regularly.

We take no licence margin

We do not resell SAP or Microsoft licences, so nothing about our advice is influenced by which platform you choose. When we recommend one over the other, that is the only reason.

The design is written down before it is built

You get a solution design describing what the system will do, what it will not, and which of your processes need to change — and you approve it before configuration starts. Nobody should discover the scope at go-live.

Bespoke work is built to survive an upgrade

Everything we build goes through supported interfaces: user-defined fields and tables, formatted searches, the SDK and the Service Layer. We do not write directly to SAP tables, which is the usual reason a business ends up stranded on an old version.

You keep what we produce

Configuration documentation, the customisation register, and the source for anything bespoke we build. If you decide to work with somebody else, none of that is held hostage.

We do not claim what we cannot evidence

No badges we have not earned, no statistics we have not measured, no client names we do not have permission to use. The section below explains what that means in practice.

Straight answers

What you will not find on this site

Most consultancy websites carry a row of client logos, a percentage improvement figure and a set of partner badges. Ours does not, and the reason is deliberate.

We publish nothing about this business that we cannot evidence. Every credential, statistic, partnership and client name is held in a register with a verification flag against it, and anything unverified is not published.

If you are comparing us against a firm whose homepage carries numbers and badges, that is a fair thing to weigh. Ask them what the numbers were measured across.

No client logos or case studies — yet

We do not name a client or use their logo without written permission, and a logo already appearing publicly elsewhere is not the same as consent. When we have it, they will appear here.

No partner badges

We are an independent consultancy. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a reseller for SAP or Microsoft, and we will not imply otherwise. Licences are bought from those vendors or their partners; we work alongside whoever holds that relationship.

No improvement statistics

You will not find an average percentage saving here, because we have not measured one across a defined set of projects. A figure without a stated sample behind it is decoration.

No day rates

A price without a scope behind it is meaningless and usually wrong. You get a written scope and a fixed quotation before any work starts.

Where we are

Stockport, working nationwide

We are based in Greater Manchester and work with clients across the United Kingdom. Most work is done remotely, with the parts that genuinely need a room — discovery workshops, user acceptance testing, the first close — done on site.

Who we work with

Growing UK businesses, typically between roughly twenty and three hundred people, across manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, FMCG and professional services. Businesses that have outgrown accounting software, or that are already running an ERP system which is not delivering what was promised.

If you need SAP S/4HANA, Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, or a statutory audit, we will tell you plainly and point you somewhere better. That is a different size of problem and it needs a different kind of firm.

The quickest way to judge us is to ask us something hard

Bring the awkward part of your process — the returns handling, the month with a stock adjustment in it, the report that never ties back. A first conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Or call +44 7493 619245 — Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30.
